Edward Parrish (Service no 6915) was born in Kiama, NSW and went to Queensland with his family as a child.

At the time of enlistment Edward was single, 24 years of age and employed as a farmer.  Edward embarked on HMAT A20 - Hororata with the 26th Battalion, 20th Reinforcements on the 14 June 1917.

Edward arrived in England on 26 September 1917 and joined 52nd Battalion in France on 9 February 1918.  On 16 May 1918, he joined 49th battalion and saw service on the Western Front.

Edward returned to Australia in September 1919 and was discharged on 21 November 1919.

On 20th November 1920 he married Eva Lancaster and together they had one child.

Edward died in 1982.

Edward had 2 brothers - Oliver and Ernest who also served.
