Illawarra Remembers 1914-1918

Share Your Images and Stories

Illawarra Remembers 1914-1918 was established to create a digital archive of people in our community during the first World War.

We welcome new contributions that will help to build this collection as a record for current and future generations.

You can help by sharing information that relates to people from the Illawarra during the 'Great War', such as:

  • Images of people
  • Images of war-related items such as medals, letters, postcards or memorials
  • Stories, anecdotes and biographical information
  • Suggested additions or changes to information already in the collection
  • Information that might help identify our Unknown Soldiers.

To share information to be added to this collection, please start by contacting us using the enquiry form below.

We'll get in touch and make arrangements for the best way to capture your contributions.

Other local history material

If you have historical information or images about our local area that don't relate to World War I, you may still be able to contribute them to our Local Studies collection.
