Story
Harry Raistrick (Service No 2012) was born in Bradford, England about 1896 and travelled to Australia. At the time of enlistment he was a single 19 year old grocer who was living at Scarborough, NSW. He embarked on HMAT A55 Kyarra on 13th April 1915 with 5th Reinforcements, 3rd Battalion.
Harry was sent to Gallipoli soon after, arriving on 30th April. He survived the early fighting but like so many others was killed at Lone Pine between the 7th and 12th August 1915. Harry was buried at Lone Pine but has no known grave. He is remembered on the Lone Pine Memorial.
