Story
Norman Gribble (Service No 979) was born in Bulli, NSW. In 1912 he married Hilda McGrory. He was 23 years old and employed as a salesman when he enlisted.
Norman embarked on HMAT A14 Euripides with H Company, 4th Battalion on 20th October 1914. After training in Egypt he landed on Gallipoli on 25th April and survived the early fighting.
Unfortunately he was killed on 19th May,1915 and is buried in 4 Battalion Parade Ground Cemetery Row D, Grave 17.
His father, a Church of England Minister, enlisted in 1916 and served as Chaplain on troop ships.
