Cecil Erwin Watsford Moore (Service No 6364) was born in Berry, N.S.W.

At enlistment he was 21 years old, single and worked as a bank clerk with the ES&A Bank at Kiama, N.S.W.

Cecil embarked on 10th November 1915 with the 1st Field Ambulance,12th Reinforcement and arrived in Egypt on 9th December 1915. He joined the1st Field Ambulance in Egypt on 23rd February 1916, then went to France on 25th June 1916 where he joined the14th Field Ambulance. On 22nd May 1917, Cecil was transferred to the 4th Battalion and sent to Officer training. He was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant on 31st October 1917 and saw service on the Western Front. Cecil was wounded in action on 13th April 1918 and treated for a gun shot wound to his left shoulder. He returned to duty on 5th June 1918, after being promoted to Lieutenant on 15th May 1918. He was wounded a second time on 8th July 1918 but no injury is recorded. Cecil was granted leave in London, England, from 20th January 1920 to 7th February 1920. He returned to Australia in April 1920 and was discharged on 22nd August 1920.

On 19th April 1924, Cecil married Mary Davis and they had 2 children. He returned to the bank and was the manager of the Coraki Branch.

Cecil died suddenly at home, in 1946.
