Harold Tennyson McKinnon (Service No 3433A) was born in Thirroul, N.S.W., in 1893.

At enlistment in Maitland, N.S.W., he was 23 years old, single, worked as a milkman and lived in Weston, N.S.W.

Harold embarked on HMAT A68 Anchises, with the 53rd Battalion, 9th Reinforcement, on 24th January 1917. He arrived in England on 27th March 1917 and joined the 53rd Battalion in France on 4th August 1917. Harold saw service on the Western Front and has no wounding on file, though he did suffer from chronic appendicitis during his service. He was returned to Australia in July 1919 and discharged.

Harold was living in Weston, N.S.W., in 1936.
