George Miller (Service No 4871) was born in Dundee, Scotland around 1880.

At enlistment he was 37 years old, single, worked as a labourer and lived in Helensburgh, N.S.W.

George embarked on HMAT A38 Ulysses with the 1st Pioneers, 14th Reinforcement, on 19th December 1917. He arrived in England on 13th February 1918 and joined the 4th Pioneers in France on 14th June 1918. George saw service on the Western Front until the war ended.

On 25th March 1919, he was posted to the Graves Registration Unit and remained in France with them until 19th August 1919. George returned to Australia in October 1919 and was discharged on 13th December 1919.
