John Owen Hill
John Owen Hill (Service No 59753) was born in Bulli, N.S.W.
At enlistment he was 21 years old, single, worked as a miner, lived in Clifton, N.S.W., and had served with the Militia.
John embarked on SS Galika with the 14th NSW General Reinforcements on 30th July 1918. He arrived in England on 13th October 1918 and was posted to the 55th Battalion on 31st January 1919. John was attached to the Graves Registration Unit, in France, on 24th March 1919. He returned to Australia in June 1919 and was discharged on 8th November 1919.
On 21st August 1926, John married Iris Pulley, in Bulli, N.S.W., and they raised a large family.
John died suddenly in 1941.
