Albert Craig (Service No 39411) was born in Shellharbour, N.S.W.

At enlistment Albert was single, 31 years old and worked as a school teacher and an orchardist.  He married Amy Olive Dun in Stroud, N.S.W. in early 1918 and his enlistment papers note the change of next of kin (initially his mother) before he embarked.

Albert embarked from Sydney on board SS Port Darwin with Field Artillery Brigade, Reinforcement 34, on 30th April 1918.  He arrived in England on 16th July 1918 and landed in France on 17th October 1918.

Albert joined 5th Field Artillery Brigade on 2nd December 1918.  He served with the Graves Registration Unit from 25th March 1919 and was returned to Australia in September 1919.

Albert was discharged from the AIF on 16th November 1919. He died in Forster in 1958.
