Norman Wilson (Service No 2504) was born in Newcastle, England in 1874.

At the time of enlistment, Norman was married, 41 years of age, employed as a clerk and resided in Port Kembla, NSW.  Norman listed his wife, Florence, as next of kin but they may have been separated.

He embarked on HMAT A68 - Anchises with the 45th Battalion, 5th Reinforcements on 24 August 1916.  He arrived in England on 11 October 1916 and joined the 13th Battalion in France on 12 March 1917.

On 15 April 1917, Norman was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with dilated action of the heart. 

Norman was transferred to the Australian Veterinary Hospital on 14 May 1917 and served with them until the War ended.

Norman returned to Australia in February 1919 and medically discharged on 1 November 1919 with Dyspepsia.

Norman died in 1959.
