Details: 

Fenwick Wilson (Service no 1965) was born in Braidwood.  At the time of enlistment, Fenwick was single, 35 years of age, employed as a policeman and residing in Brisbane, Queensland.  He had  and listed his Mother, Emily who resided in Wollongong, NSW as next of kin.

Fenwick was promoted to Sergeant on 1 November 1915 and embarked on RMS Orontes with the Australian remount Unit,  Squadron 8 on 10 November 1915.  He arrived in Egypt in early December and served in Egypt before being returned to Australia in January 1917.

Fenwick suffered recurring bouts of dysentery and was deemed unfit for further service.  He was discharged on 29 May 1917.

Fenwick was living in Bermagui, NSW when he died in 1919 and is buried in Bermagui Cemetery.
