Harold Simpson (Service No 30305) was born in Bellambi, N.S.W. around 1888.

At enlistment Harold was single, 25 years old, employed as an accountant and lived in South Kensington, Sydney; he had served in the Militia.

Harold embarked from Sydney on HMAT A24 Benalla with Divisional Ammunition Column 5, 8th Reinforcement on 9th November 1916.  He arrived in England on 9th January 1917 and joined 105th Battery in France on 3rd April 1917.

Harold saw service on the Western Front.  He was returned to Australia in July 1919 and discharged on 25th September 1919.

On 6th August 1921 he married Hilda Stinson.  Harold died in 1970.
