Harry Drury (Service No 10431) was born in Sydney.

Around the time he enlisted, Harry married Gladys Rowan in Woonona, N.S.W.  He was 29 years old, worked as a baker and lived in Wollongong, N.S.W.

He embarked from Sydney on HMAT A74 Marathon with Army Service Corps Reinforcement 18.  He arrived in England on 10th July 1916 and was posted to 1st Australian Field Bakery on 2nd August 1916.  He joined his unit in France on 28th August and served on the Western Front until the war ended.

On 23rd January 1919 Harry was admitted to hospital suffering from influenza.  He was returned to Australia in May 1919 and discharged medically unfit on 25th June 1920.

John died in 1963.
