William Little (Service no 6281) was born in Cootamundra, NSW.

At the time of enlistment William was single, 27 years of age and resided in Dapto.  He embarked on HMAT A14 - Euripides with the 13th Battalion,  20th Reinforcements on 9 September 1916.  William arrived in England on 26 October 1916 and joined the 13th Battalion in France on 21 January 1917.

William saw service on the Western Front and was admitted to hospital in England with trench fever on 2 November 1918.  William returned to his Unit on 27 June 1918.

On 17th October 1918, he was promoted to Driver.

WIlliam returned to Australia in September 1919 and was discharged on 14 December 1919.

On 26th January 1926 he married Mildred Hinde in Grenfell and together they raised 5 children in Port Kembla.

William died in 1950. He is buried in Woronora Cemetery.
