Thomas Warrington (Service no 4946) was born in Sydney and at the time of enlistment was single, 25 years of age, employed as a labourer and resided in Port Kembla, NSW.

Thomas embarked on HMAT A15 - Star of England with the 4th Battalion, 15th Reinforcements on 8 March 1916.

After arriving in Egypt, Thomas was transferred to the 56th Battalion on 20 April 1916 arriving in France on 26 June 1916.  He took part in the battle for Fromelle.  Thomas saw service on the Western Front until 26 August 1917 when he was wounded in action.

Thomas was evacuated to hospital for treatment of a gun shot wound to his side.  He returned to duty on 9 March 1918, but his right knee was injured accidentally on 8 April 1918.

Thomas was returned to Australia in May 1919 and discharged.

In 1920 he married Pearl Lewis in Wollongong, NSW.

Thomas enlisted for service in WW2 and is remembered on the Port Kembla Roll of Honor.

Thomas had 2 brothers who also served Albert Warrington (Service no 113) was killed in action and Gabriel Warrington (Service no 2166) returned to Australia after his service.
