Frederick Kirby (Service No 65775) was born in Birmingham, England.
At enlistment in Wollongong, NSW Frederick was married, 35 years old, worked as a painter and decorator and lived at Unanderra, N.S.W. He listed his wife Elizabeth as his next of kin.
He embarked from Sydney on HMAT A41 Bakara with NSW Reinforcement 18 on 4th September 1918.
Frederick arrived in England on 14th November 1918 and was posted to 3rd Battalion the same day. He went to France on 28th January 1919 serving until he was returned to Australia in September 1919.
He was discharged from the AIF on 8th November 1919.
