Clinton Levinge (Service No 33027) was born in Dapto, N.S.W.

At enlistment Clinton was single, 24 years old, worked as a clerk and lived at Heathcote, N.S.W.

He embarked from Melbourne on HMAT A9 Shropshire with Field Artillery, February 1917 Reinforcements on 11th May 1917.  The troops arrived in England on 19th July 1917 and Clinton was sent on to France, arriving on 17th November 1917.

He joined 11th Battery on 27th November and saw service on the Western Front until the end of the war.

Clinton was returned to Australia in July 1919 and was finally discharged medically unfit on 27th February 1920 but there is no reason given on his service records.

On 7th August 1920 he married Ellen Alexander.

Clinton died in Lakemba in 1959.
