Clifford Moore (Service No 2675) was born in December 1897. He served 4 years with the Cadets and 1 year with 28th Light Horse Militia.

At enlistment Clifford was single, 18 years old and worked as a farmer at Marshall Mount, near Dapto, NSW. Clifford embarked on HMAT A40 Ceramic with 6th Reinforcements, 45th Battalion on 7th October 1916 and arrived in England on 21st November 1916.

He joined 10 Platoon, C Company, 45th Battalion in France on 8th January 1917.  Clifford saw service on the Western Front until 7th June 1917 where he was fighting at the start of the Messines battle. Unfortunately Clifford was hit in the stomach by a shell and killed.

There is no known grave for Clifford; he is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial at Ypres, Belgium, and the Albion Park Anglican Church Honour Roll.
