Frank Grace (Service No 6256) was born in November 1894 in Sydney, N.S.W.

When Frank enlisted he was married and living at Kiama, N.S.W.  He was 21 years of age and employed as a labourer.  Frank had served 6 years in the CMF.

Frank embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A14 Euripides with 20th Reinforcements, 13th Battalion, on 9th September 1916.  After arriving in England on 26th October 1916 he underwent further training and finally joined 13th Battalion in France on 24th March 1917.

On 30th May 1917 Frank was admitted to 4th Australian Field Ambulance due to illness and returned to his unit on 2nd June 1917.  On 22nd October 1917 during the battles for Passchendaele he sustained severe gas poisoing and was evacuated to England for treatment.

Frank returned to the front on 17th April 1918.  While taking part in the very successful battle for Hamel on 4th July 1918 he was killed in action.

Frank is buried in Crucifix Corner Cemetery, Villers-Bretonneux, France: Plot IX, Row E, Grave 1.
