Henry Duncan
Harry Duncan was born in St Andrews Scotland and came to Corrimal, NSW with his family. He had served in the Territorials. In 1913 he married Ethel Lane at Woonona but sadly she died that same year after giving birth to their daughter, Ethel Catherine. At the time of enlistment Harry was described as a 29 year old widower who worked as a miner. He embarked on HMAT A55 Karoola with 6th Reinforcements 2nd Battalion on 16th June 1915.
He arrived on Gallipoli on 6th August 1915 and took part in the Battle for Lone Pine where he was killed. He has no known grave but is remembered on the Lone Pine Memorial.
