Edward Quinn (Service No 7058) was born in Tambourine, Queensland around1884, attending the Christian Brothers School in Brisbane.

At enlistment he was single, 32 years old, employed as a butcher, and living at Woonona, N.S.W.  He embarked on HMAT A72 Beltana on 25th November 1916 with 23rd Reinforcements, 13th Battalion.

After training in England, Edward saw service on the Western Front.  On 17th October 1917 he was wounded in action with a gun shot wound to the face and was also gassed.  During heavy fighting in August, 1918, Edward was killed in action.

Edward is buried in Heath Cemetery, Harbionniers France. Plot II, Row G, Grave 11.  His service & sacrifice is commemorated on the Bulli-Woonona War Memorial.
