Private Edward Woollett (Service 2246) was a single 37 year old labourer from Narooma. His given name was Edward Ernest, but he often went under the name Edwin.

He embarked on HMAT A8 Argyllshire with 4th Reinforcements 20th Battalion on 30th September, 1915.

He arrived on Gallipoli on 12th November, 1915 and saw service until the evacuation. He then went to France and took part in the Battle for Pozieres.

Edward was killed on 26th July while taking part in a trench charge across no-man's-land under heavy machine gun fire. He has no known grave, but is remember on the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour, Panel number 92
