Private John McIntosh (Service no. 12736) was born in Invergordon, Scotland circa 1882 and came to Australia where he worked as a baker. At the time of enlistment he was living in Unanderra.

He embarked on HMAT A30 Bordia with 2nd Field Bakery on 17th October, 1916. He went to Rouen in France and followed his trade of baking.

John returned to Australia on May 11, 1919 and was discharged from the AIF on 7th August, 1919.
