Sergeant Frank Warrington (Service no. 2255) was born in Unanderra circa 1889 and attended Unanderra Public School. On enlistment he was described as a single 26 year old railway hand. He had tried to enlist earlier but was rejected because of bad teeth. This was a common issue at the time, however he was eventually successful and embarked on HMAT A42 Boorara on 19th August, 1916 with 4th Reinforcements 54th Battalion.

After arrival in England he was transferred to Australian Light Railways. Early 1917 saw him promoted to Lance Corporal and on 11th June, 1917 to Sergeant. Like his brother Arthur he was uninjured.

On 28th June 1919 Sergeant Frank Warrington married Miss Celine Caron at St Pancreas in London. They returned to Australia in 1920 and he was discharged from the AIF on 27th February, 1920.

Frank is remembered on the Unanderra School Roll of Honour.
