Corporal Arthur Warrington (Service no. 3711) was born in Unanderra circa 1897. He attended Unanderra Public School and along with his brother Frank and sister Dora is remembered on the Unanderra School Roll of Honour.

He was a single 18 year old railway employee with previous service in the Militia. He embarked on HMAT A 60 Aeneas on 20th December, 1915 with 8th Reinforcements 20th Battalion. On arrival in Egypt he was transferred to 56th Battalion and saw service on the Western Front with them.

In 1918 he was promoted to Corporal. He seems to have survived the war uninjured and in April, 1919 he returned to Australia. He was discharged from the AIF on 26th July, 1919.
