William Robertson (Service No 3662) was born in Wollongong, N.S.W.
When he was 21 years of age, William enlisted with the Royal Australian Navy in Melbourne in February 1914, before war was declared. He nominated his wife, Lillian, as his next-of-kin. He served on HMAS Australia as a stoker until discharged on 30th September 1925.
