Thomas Hawke (Service No 5733) was born in Hamilton, Scotland. He came to Australia as a child and at the time of enlistment was 18 years old and lived at Helensburgh, N.S.W.
Thomas enisted in the Royal Australian Navy and served on a number of ships until his discharge on 9th July 1919.
In 1924 he married Isabel Anderson. Thomas died in Sydney Hospital in 1948 after a long illness. He is buried in Woronora Cemetery.
