William Stevens (Service No 67701) was born in Dapto, N.S.W.
At enlistment William was single, 19 years old and worked as a motor mechanic. He embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A 7 Medic with NSW General Reinforcement 26 on 2nd November 1918. While on route, the war ended and the ship was turned back to Australia where he was discharged on 23rd December 1918.
William died in Braeside Private Hospital at Stanmore, Sydney in 1921, aged 22 years.
William's brother James Robert Stevens (Service no 3302) died from illness in England on 18th March 1919.
Williams service is commomorated on the Unanderra Public School Honour Roll.
