Andrew Hogg (Service no 4817) was born in Glasgow, Scotland.

At the time of enlistment Andrew was single, 35 years of age, employed as a labourer and resided in Minnamurra. He embarked on HMAT A15 - Star of England with the 4th Battalion, 15th Reinforcements on 8 March 1916.

After arriving in Egypt he was transferred to 56th Battalion on 20 April 1916. He arrived in France on 29 June 1916 and was wounded in action on 25 July 1916. 

Andrew was evacuated to hospital for treatment of a gun shot wound to his left thigh and returned to the 56th Battalion on 22 June 1917. On 26 September 1917, Andrew was wounded again and evacuated to hospital for treatment of gun shot wounds to his buttocks. Andrew returned to duty on 22 May 1918.

He returned to Australia in May 1919 and was discharged on 10th August 1919. He move to West Wyalong and died there in 1946 while in hospital. His death notice mentions 2 children.
