Edward Brown (Service No 1991) was born in Maryborough, Queensland.

At enlistment Edward was single, 27 years old, worked as a miner, and lived in Wollongong, N.S.W.  He embarked from Sydney on RMS Karmala with December 1916 Reinforcement on 3rd February 1917.

Edward arrived in Egypt soon after and joined 4th Light Horse Field Ambulance in the field on 3rd May 1917.  He saw service in Egypt and the Middle East.

Edward was returned to Australia in August 1919 and discharged from the AIF on 6th October 1919.

Edward became a member of the Corrimal RSL.  In 1968 he was a resident of a convalescent hospital in Ashfield.

Edward died in 1970.
