Details: 

William Wilson (Service no 669) was born in London in 1888 and had served 6 years with 6th Battalion Essex Regiment Territorials.  He was discharged from the 6th Battalion Essex Regiment Territorials on 5 November 1912.  He arrived in Australia soon after.

At the time of enlistment William was single,  26 years of age, employed as a labourer at the Baker's Camp and resided in Helensburgh, NSW.  William embarked on HMAT A35 - Berrima with the Australia Naval and Military Expeditionary Force, G Company on 19 August 1914 and served in Rabaul, Papua New Guinea.

William was discharged on 4 March 1915 at the end of his 6 month tenure.
