Leslie Gordon McKee (Service No 2366), was born in Melbourne, Victoria.

In 1915, he married Nora Johnson.

At enlistment, Leslie was 28 years old, worked as a labourer and lived in Corrimal, N.S.W.

He embarked on HMAT A56 Palermo, with 7th Light Horse Regiment,16th Reinforcement, on 18th April 1916. Leslie arrived in Egypt, and saw service in Middle East with the Light Horse Regiment and the 3rd Camel Corps.

He returned to Australia in July 1919, and was discharged on 24th October 1919. Leslie took up a soldier settlement property, in the Wagga Wagga area, after the war.

Leslie died in Wagga Wagga, N.S.W., in 1961.
