Arthur Davis (Service no 907) was born in Woonona, NSW and was single, 19 years of age and employed as a miner when he enlisted.

Arthur embarked on HMAT A8 - Argyllshire with 7th Light Horse Brigade, 4th Reinforcements on 9 April 1915.

After arriving in Egypt the Light Horse Regiment was left behind when the Infantry left for Gallipoli, Turkey but they were sent for soon after. Arthur arrived at Gallipoli, Turkey on 22 May 1915 and served until admitted to hospital on 5 June with influenza. He was sent back to hospital in Egypt where he was further diagnosed with shell shock and Neurasthenia.

Arthur was repatriated to Australia in November 1916 and medically discharged on 2 April 1917.

On 28 September 1918 he married Ada Hill after re-enlisting on 10 June 1918.

Arthur embarked on SS Malta on 16 October 1918 and arrived in Egypt on 22 November 1918 where he served until his return to Australia in April 1919.

Arthur was medically discharged on 26 June 1919.

Together, Arthur and Ada had 2 children and Arthur died in 1966.
