William Webb (Service no 193) was born in Thirroul, NSW in 1888.

At the time of enlistment William was  single 26 year old fireman from Thirroul who had served 2 years with the St George Rifles. He embarked on HMAT A14 - Euripides with the 3rd Battalion,  A Company on 19 October 1914.

After training in Egypt he arrived at Gallipoli, Turkey on 7 May 1915.

William was evacuated to hospital on 7 July 1915 and returned to Australia in September 1915.

William was discharged as medically unfit on 11 January 1916.
