Stanley Walker (Service No 2965) was born in Berrima, NSW.

At enlistment Stanley was single, 26 years old, worked as a railway shunter and lived in Wollongong.  He embarked from Sydney on HMAT A58 Kabinga with 6th Light Horse Regiment, 21st Reinforcements on 12th September 1916.  After the troops arrived in Egypt Stanley joined the 6th Light Horse Regiment on 20th May 1917.

He saw service in Egypt and the Middle East until he was returned to Australia in June 1919.  Stanley was discharged from the AIF on 18th September 1919.

On 26th December 1922 he married Carrie Mulligan in Wollongong and the couple had one child and remained in Wollongong.

Stanley died in 1971.
