John Luck (Service No 1329) was born in 1865.

In 1888 he married Mary Brighton in Wollongong, NSW .

At the time of enlistment John was married, 49 years of age and employed as a butcher in Helensburgh, NSW.

John embarked on HMAT A67 - Orsova with 2nd Remount Unit, Squadron 5 on 10 November 1915. His responsibility during the journey was to care for the horses of the Lighthorse Brigade.

On 18 October 1916 John returned to Australia and discharged on 9 December 1916 as his Unit was being disbanded.

He died in Helensburgh, NSW in 1948.
