Thomas Daley (Service No 1324) was born in Sydney, N.S.W.

He was single, 34 years old and working as a cook in Wollongong, N.S.W. when he enlisted. He embarked on HMAT A 14 Euripides with 3rd Battalion G Company on 20th October 1914.

Thomas arrived in Egypt in December and was appointed as a transport driver on 1st January 1915. After training he went to Gallipoli sustaining an injury to his ankle. He was evacuated to hospital in Egypt for treatment on 8th May 2015, and subsequently deemed unfit for active service.

Thomas was returned to Australia in August 1915 and discharged medically unfit on 13th January 1916.  

Thomas was living at Lakemba, N.S.W. in 1941.
