Henry Scobie (Service No 1567) was born at Wedderburn, N.S.W. in 1884.

At enlistment Henry was single, 31 years old, employed as a vigneron, and lived at Corrimal, N.S.W.  He embarked from Sydney on SS Hawkes Bay with 12th Reinforcements, 6th Light Horse Regiment on 23rd October 1915.

He arrived in Egypt in December 1915 and was admitted to hospital sick on 1st March 1916 and returned to duty on 6th March.

On 27th March 1916 Henry was transferred to 113th Battery of the 25th Howitzer Brigade and went to France with them, arriving on 25th June 1916.

On 9th July 1916 he was transferred to 13th Field Artillery Brigade and served on the Western Front with them till the end of the war.

On 25th January 1918 Henry was promoted to Corporal.

He returned to Australia in March 1919 and was discharged on 4th June 1919.

Henry Scobie died in Sydney in 1962.
