Cuthbert Wallbank (Service No 3903) was born on the York Peninsula, South Australia around 1895.

At enlistment he was single, 21 years old, worked as a miner, and lived at Helensburgh, N.S.W.

He embarked from Sydney on HMAT A68 Anchises with 9th Reinforcements, 30th Battalion, on 24th August 1916.  The troops arrived in England on 11th October 1916 and Cuthbert joined the 30th Battalion in France on 23rd December 1916.

Cuthbert saw service on the Western Front and was returned to Australia in June 1919.

In 1920 he married Dorothy Batey at Helensburgh where they lived until he died in 1961.
