Charles Lawrance/ Lawrence (Service No 3367) was born in Tamworth, N.S.W. around 1890.

At enlistment Charles was single, 26 years old, was living in Wollongong, N.S.W. and working as a handyman.

Charles embarked from Sydney on HMAT A72 Beltana with 8th Reinforcements, 1st Pioneer Battalion, on 25th November 1916.  The troops arrived in England on 23rd January 1917.

Charles saw service on the Western Front and was returned to Australia in December 1917, and was discharged from the AIF on 1st February 1918.
