Alfred Healy (Service No 1370) was born in Cooma, N.S.W.

At enlistment Alfred was single, 23 years old, lived at Dapto, N.S.W. and was employed as a letter carrier.

He embarked from Sydney on HMAT A48 Seang Bee with 2nd Reinforcements, 4th Battalion, on 11th February 1915.  Alfred was sent to Gallipoli and served there till the evacuation when he was returned to Egypt and transferred to 5th Division Headquarters while his health was checked.

He was returned to Australia in August 1916 and discharged medically unfit on 17th October 1916 due to defective eyesight. 

In 1917 he married Iris Castle and was living at Maroubra in 1954.

Alfred died in 1956 and is buried at Rookwood Cemetery.
