Details: 

David Goble was born in Paddington, NSW about 1895. The family was living in Woonona at the time of his enlistment. He had served in the CMF.

David embarked on HMAT A40 Ceramic on 25th June 1915 with D Company, 18th Battalion and saw service on Gallipoli. On 22nd August 1915 David was wounded in action, receiving a gun shot wound to his right arm. He was evacuated to 1st Canadian Hospital on Mudros for treatment and then was transferred to the hospital ship Franconia but on 2nd September he died of his wounds.

David is buried at the North Front Cemetery Gibralter, Plot C, Row C, Grave 3078.
