Thomas Francis Lindsay (Service No 2962) was born in Unanderra. He was 25 years old, single, and working as a bank accountant when he enlisted.

With the 1ST Light Horse Regiment, 21st Reinforcement, Thomas embarked from Sydney on RMS Mooltan on 19th August, 1916. The Troops arrived in Suez on 21 September, 1916. In Egypt Thomas attended various schools of instruction, and served in both Egypt and Palestine.

On 14th July, 1918 Thomas was killed in action at Musselahbah, Palestine. He was 27 years of age. 

There is no known grave for Thomas, but he is commemorated at Jeruselum (Bab Sitna Mariam) Muhammadan War Cemetery. Thomas' war records, completed in the field, state that he was buried at:  'Abu Tilul, right of number 2 post, 80 yards south of trench, Jerico by Rev Donovan'.  This is the only reference to his burial.

Thomas Lindsay, along with his 2 brothers who also served, is remembered on the Unanderra School Roll of Honour.
