Charles James Warrington (Service Number 2167) was born at Murrumburrah NSW. Charles enlisted in Port Kembla and his service records show his next of kin as his wife, Sarah Jane.

Charles was wounded three times before dying in the field.

He was first wounded, but still on duty with the 3rd Division, on the 27 January 1917 in France.

Charles was wounded a second time on the 2 June 1917, again in France.

On 13th October 1917, Charles was wounded in action for the 3rd time at Roelles, France, and invalided to England.

Charles was wounded again, on 4 April 1918. Charles was killed instantly when the ambulance which was carrying him to a Casualty Clearing Station was struck by an enemy shell, killing or severely wounding all occupants.

Charles is buried the Adelaide Cemetery (Plot III, Row K, Grave 18), Villers-Brettneux, France.
